The team participated in their 2nd Qualifier in the new Peachtree District model this past weekend. We had a great surprise when we saw Woodie Flowers walking through the pits! He is an amazing person and spent a little time in our pit and checked out our robot. He signed it and even gave it a kiss for luck. We also had our new FTC team (more about that later!) in the lobby doing a demonstration of that level of robot, and we also had some peeps in purple demoing an FLL robot. Many exciting additions to the team coming soon!
The robot performed like a champ, and we wound up coming home with the Industrial Design Award. Looking forward to the State Competition this weekend in Athens. For more info, visit the Georgia FIRST website.
